Recently I've been trying to communicate with my animal companion golden retriever. I send messages to him and I can tell from the way he's looking at me that he understands. Or sometimes I see him close his eyes partially like he is getting something or trying to send something. But I just cannot seem to calm my mind to do the receiving. I'm always trying to look for a 'voice' which many communicators have described as clear and loud, but it doesn't come. Instead sometimes there is a kind of knowing, but then again I can't tell if it's just my mind or an actual communication. I'm thinking it has to do with my preconceived ideas of the definition of communication ^^
Don't try so hard to look for something that other communicators tell you. What they describe as "loud and clear" may be just what you're getting but you wouldn't describe it that way. More over, they may be particularly strong in clairaudience (clear hearing) when you are clearly a person dominant in claircognizance (clear knowing). Remember that every communicator has different strengths. The most important thing is to be yourself, use your own unique strengths and most of all, trust yourself, which will come through a lot of practice.
Hope this helps.

PS, he's not 'trying' to send you something, he *is* sending you something, you're just not trusting what you're getting.
PSS: Can I put this question on my blog? I won't use your name.
