Hi All!  My sweet little Haley is only one and has pretty bad hip displesia and now tendon problem in her shoulders.  She has also struggled with tape worms off and on.

I am currently switching her over to a raw diet and looking into any supplement or treatment available.  My sense is that a proper diet will help a lot.

If anyone has suggestions, experiences or would like to talk with Haley or her sister, Gracie (who is healthy as a hog!) I would be so open to communicating with you and grateful for any assistance to help my little girl get out of pain.

THANK YOU!!

Hey Lis.

Thanks for joining in.  I have a headache today, but I will talk to Haley as soon as I'm feeling better.  (I have an interesting reading to tell you about, too.  We'll have to talk. )  :-)

Hi Lisa.

I spoke with Haley.  I kept getting interuppted (pizza burned, phone rang) but she was very patient.  She said to me, "I was hoping you'd come back."  If you remember, I had started to speak with her by mistake instead of Gracie.  She comes to me as very gentle, quiet, loving and sweet.

She does say it hurts when she walks and when asked what she would like to make her feel better, I saw a "feather bed."  Like one of those dog beds.  I didn't see it as a pillow or anything, I saw it as something made for dogs.

She said she likes to 'play like a cat.'  I asked if she was a cat in a past life and she said she wants to 'stay in this life.'  She said she likes to 'follow things' while she's lying down.

She said she likes the 'chewable dog bones.'  I don't have dogs, but I can picture them.  Not the rawhide things that they chew on, but the edible ones that they simply eat.  Later on she mentioned having trouble chewing sometimes, I'll get to that.

She says she'd like to be a protector but she knows it's Gracie's job -- she's healthier.  I asked her if she'd like a job and she was quite excited about that, she wants to be productive.  I asked if she would please help Gracie stay focused on being a protector.  If she would calm her down when she gets too frisky.  She said yes, she would like to do that.

She said "I don't like crawly things" referring to her tape worms.  She said that she doesn't mind going to the vets because "I know it's good for me."  But you need to explain to her what is happening.  Does she have a female vet?  I get that impression.  She likes "the lady vet."

She said, "I don't mind the cats, I like the calmness."   This is where I burned the pizza and when I came back exasperated and not feeling good about myself, she said, "I feel good about myself, I just don't feel well."

She says she doesn't mind the raw food, but she likes canned.  She said dry and raw (like carrots) is sometimes hard to chew.  I asked what she thought caused her tapeworms and she said, "Canned food?  My mom thinks so."  She said the vet is good if it would "speed things up."

She then said, "yellow bed."  She likes yellow.  I really had a hard time with this and then the phone rang, which further took me out of it.  When I came back she said the "yellow is my mom."  Huh?  I didn't know where to go with this, then she said,   "I see her as soft and as sunshine.  She is warm."

Winding down I asked her if there was anything else and she said, "Black and White Tuxedo cat.  I know one. I like her and feel for her."  I didn't see that it was one of yours, necessarily, I saw it as maybe a next-door neighbor's cat or something.   She then said, "Someone needs to look after her."

Again, she mentioned the vets and that she would not be mad.   She then said, "I like my mom's hair.  It's the same color as mine and thick like my coat."    And she mentioned again that she likes those chewable dog bones.

We began to wrap up and she said "I think you're a nice lady."  I told her what a sweet girl I think she is.

She was about to leave, and then added "Collar."  Can you check to make sure it's not too tight?  It appears that it's "itchy" for her.

She then said, "luvs, luvs."  (I don't know if she would spell it that way, but the way she said it, seemed so. :-)  )

Let me know if any of this is valid, Lis.  I hope so.  She sure seems like a sweetie.

Talk to you later,
Caat

Hi Lisa.  A quick search for "natural pet food" came up with this: http://www.eaglepack.com/
Thought you might be interested.  There's a lot more, as well, on a Google search.

I hadn't seen your posting!  Thank you so much for speaking with Haley.  I have been trying myself and I'm feeling very frustrated -- like I'm not getting through, so thanks so much.

And if you would like to practice by checking in which my beloved Squeek who died last weekend, I would love for someone to tell her I love her and miss her and make sure she's ok.

Thanks! - Lisa

No problem, Lis.  Maybe when you're feeling a bit better you could let me know if there's anything you could validate.  Also, give a description of Squeak.

I know what you mean about trying with the kids.  It always seems harder to talk to our own than it is to talk to someone else's kids.  It's the same with my tarot.  It's really hard to read someone I know particularly well.  I always do best with strangers.  That way, we don't put any of our own preconceived notions in it.

Best,
Caat

I just took a moment to really look over your conversation with Haley.  WOW!

She does seem to have trouble with hard food occasionally.  Not all the time, though.  Don't know why.

Yes, her new Vet is a woman.

A week or so ago, I "instinctively" checked her collar and loosened it!  I've also been taking it off at night when we sleep.

She does like cats, both she and Gracie do.  I'm thinking of getting another one, maybe a "special" kitty that is missing a limb or something and will want to stay inside mostly.  The pups have become good little caretakers so I' think they'd like it.

I don't know about the yellow bed--it may be the new padded sheepskin mattress thing I got for her crate.  She doesn' go in there much though!

There is a tuxedo cat in our neighborhood.  Don't know who it belongs to and I rarely see it.  I'll keep an eye out for him/her though.

And finally, I always say to Haley  "I love, love, love you!"  thus, the luv, luv reference.  I say it to her almost every day.

Great Job!!  Thanks so much.  If you do check in with her again could you ask her if there is anything wrong with her teeth that makes hard food difficult to eat?.   I'd appreciate it.  I'll ask too.  and thanks for the encouragement!  Keep up the good "talk"!  - Lisa

I think by yellow bed,  she meant you.  Does she like to lie with her head and paws, or something, on your lap?

And when did you get the sheepskin thing for her?  Maybe that was what she was talking about with "feather bed."  Although, I don't know, because she said it would make her feel better and if she doesn't use it....don't know.  Maybe she just wants to lie on mom! :-)

I'm so glad to hear about the "love, love, love you" reference.  When I heard that I was so hoping to hear you say that you said something to the effect.

Talk to you later.  Keep your chin up.

I think the yellow bed reference is to me.  she loves to lay with her head and paws in my lap!

Thanks again!  - Lisa
