Hello everyone.
I am here because I have a dear friend in need of prayers. Her name is Pepper and she is a lovable black and white kitty. Here is her pic. Please send healing energy her way. She's been hiding but we need to take her to the vet soon. If anyone wants to talk to her, that is fine too. I am just concerned for her right now so prayers are very welcomed.

Hello to everyone who sent healing energy to Pepper and myself. I have an update. We were able to get her to a vet this morning and she is doing well. More traumatized about the car trip than anything else. She is sleeping in one of her favorite spots and gets to eat canned cat food when she is hungry. bct~ So again, thank you to all the wonderful animal lovers who helped her.  cs:)

So happy to hear it! I know how terrifying it is when our babies are sick. What was the problem?

And does she not eat canned food regularly?

Wonderful to hear the good news. Give her hugs for us. :)

Apparently she was bitten somewhere on her neck and although the wound closed, it did not heal. It grew into pockets filled with bacteria and *yuck* pus. The vets had to drain it and she was given an antibacterial injection good for 2 weeks. The poor dear is still hiding, this time under my bed.  I hope she gets back to her old self soon. Caat, we have to give our cats dry food. We have so many that giving canned food was getting very expensive. Indoor, we have 7 cats: Pepper and her sisters, Sassy, Dot, KK, Baby and then we have Stretch and Missy. Then there are the oudoor cats who visit us. Duke who comes inside sometimes and then Spider and Mister who have gone feral but we still leave food and water outside for them and some of the strays. we don't know how many of them are around. We were buying something like 60 cans of cat food per week which was close to $30. We had to stop because we couldn't afford it.
At least Pepper is doing well. She did show herself this morning and I fed her. She let me pet her. cs:) I will be sure to give her all of your hugs.  :)!

I am glad Pepper is doing better.  I don't know where you live but I would advise if you are going to stick with dry, which I understand the reasons why, use a good grade dry food and add water to it.  Dry food has about 8% moisture and our animals need 70-80%, just like us.  So they get it then from drinking water, which is not the same.  The kidneys take a bit hit when it comes to just kibble as the main source of food.  Cats are just not made for it.  Kidney disease is expensive and there are good ways to go about getting the moisture into their diets in other ways.  Also for Pepper I would advise adding Arnica (homeopathic) to her daily water - 4 pellets.  They dissolve and the other cats can drink it also and adding a flower remedy to it also for stress.  Rescue Remedy makes one for animals also.  Follow the instructions.

Hit me up if you want any more advise on the nutritional aspect.  More than happy to help and so glad Pepper is doing better.
