Just a thought, I'm a member of a closed animal communication group on Facebook which seems to work really well because just about everyone is on Facebook these days. Because it's closed, you can allow/disallow people to join and their posts/comments etc are not seen outside of the group, which is good because I don't want some people to know I'm doing this stuff yet!

Do you have a Facebook page yet? I think it's a group you need rather than a page though.

Nicola,

You are very welcome, and I thank you for the validations, I was so excited (although sorry to hear you've had an illness) to read your reply and know that there really had been a true connection! it really helps with confidence.  I would encourage you to pursue animal communication, it is very rewarding & helpful to the animals.  If you want to practice with my dog I would be happy to give you that so important feedback - she's on this forum under DOGS - Tasha (I'm Tami/Thumper)
Thank you to Lisa Larson for setting up this great forum.  And like anything new Practice, practice, practice really helps, practice with friends, family, etc.- it helps if they're open to it & will give feedback.

Hugs, Tami

Hi Tami
Wow, thank you so much
I got Lysander when I first got sick 11 years ago and he gave me a reason to live, over the last few years I have been slowly coming round to the idea of possibilities within the parameters of my illness.  So what he told you made a lot of sense.  My childhood cat was a big ginger boy and it is good to know that they have found each other - I don't know any dogs though!
As far as the painting/fabric with the green border - I have been crocheting a blanket made out of hexagons, until a week ago, it was only in shades of purple until I decided to add a green border.
Thank you again, I really, really appreciate what you have done.  I miss him desperately and it is such a struggle at the moment, but he was such special boy and such a privilege to have him in my life.
What you have done has prompted me to start trying to master AC again so maybe I could help someone else in the way you have helped me *hugs* thank you.

Hi Nicola, I tuned in to Lysander just now - this is what I got:

I felt a serene, content energy
me - why did u leave?  L - it was time for me to leave, my purpose was completed
he's more than o.k.
he has met an orange cat & a golden retriever, I also saw a dark dog w/ light paws
told him he was your soulmate, thanked him for being such a special boy, & told him u will never    stop lvg. him
L - "I will never stop lvg. her either, but she is stronger now & moving forward in life, & that is good"
me - why were u in her life?
L - to help her w/ confidence
me - do you watch over her?
L - it's as if I'm right there w/ her, she's gotten stronger & more confident the past cpl. years & I like  how she feels about herself (got impression of relationship change recently - feel it's good for you)
me - how can she communicate w/ u?  should she look for anythg?
L - she can communicate w/ me anytime, I'm always here for her, I will give her a strong "feeling" when I want to send a msg.
I saw a painting or fabric w/ green border - on wall?
__________

Hope this makes some sense to you, he seems like a very wise boy, I enjoyed talking to him -

 Tami

My precious boy Lysander suddenly died two weeks ago.  Please, if you could, could you try and talk to him and if possible answer these questions.

* Is he OK
* Has he met up with my other animals who have passed.
* I'd love to communicate with him, is there anything I should look out for
Please can you tell him that he was my soul mate and thank him for being such a special boy, and that I will never stop loving him.

Thank you in advance
Nicola

Yes it's a difficult one. I'm not convinced google+ is the right direction as it is quite difficult to get your head around and not many people use it. Facebook would be better but it would need to be a closed group so you can only allow real people in who are interested in the subject.

Spammers are a big issue on forums but on the other hand you have loads of great content here and it ranks well in the search engines. Perhaps there is a better anti-spam solution for the forum?

I must admit I haven't been on here much but that's more to do with family and work life getting in the way and me not doing much AC - something which I'm determined to change this year!

I'm sure whatever you do will be the right decision - just ask a wise animal what to do lol!

Hi Little River.

Well, yes and no. I know I would like to start the community on Google Plus, which I actually have set it up, I just haven't done anything with it or linked to it yet because I'm not exactly sure how to make it work.

I really like the forum because things can be easily put into different categories and topics, and people aren't too confused by it. It's also good because I can have a measure of control over it so that people aren't just asking for free readings from unsupervised students for things where there is potential for harm: like serious illness or serious behavioral or emotional problems. I also like someplace for my students to go, but I do find that dies out quickly after the class has ended.

It's been so slow here that the only thing I do every time is spend lots of time rejecting literally hundreds of people trying to join who are spammers. The problem is some legitimate people are getting lost in that. And, it just never took off the way I had hoped. I think now, too, so many people are doing social media things, I'm not sure they're finding this and I don't have the time I used to to devote to it. I'm writing a book, and working on some other teaching projects, as well as doing readings.

So I'll ask you guys, what would you like your practice to look like? On Google Plus, it would be a community where we could post photos, I could create different topics, like 'cats' 'dogs' or whatever. But I'm thinking I need to make it something that people request to join rather than just making it public, or it can get out of hand.

Or, I could keep this or that open, but create a 'closed' group there where people pay a small monthly or yearly fee and I give personalized help with the practice, having the students, perhaps, submit their animals for practice.

I really like offering a resource for people to practice, but either people just don't want to take advantage of it, they are interested in other forms, or maybe it's that because it's free, people don't find much value in it on a sub-conscious level. Any suggestions you all have would be welcome.

Best,
Caat

That's a shame Caat, have you got the new resource setup yet?

Just had to resurrect this thread. Awesome. Thank you for posting this :)

I believe any individual who harms other animals, although not fairly reprimanded in this life, CAN NOT escape their own karma that they will have to suffer through in this life or the next. :(

I agree, wolfspirit. I'm going to play Devil's Advocate, though. Do you think that people who mistreat animals because they were never taught any other way, and then when they grow up and understand, and start working to help animals and/or educate people or whatever ... rescueing or doing something for the benefit of animals ... do you think they 'erase' or 'reverse' that karma?

Caat

Resurrecting again :)

They do have the chance to make it up because most humans act out of ignorance and misguide nice. A sincere heart to change is all it takes, because animals are understanding, all love and all forgive. But because in the end it is ourselves who will not forgive ourselves in moment of clarity, so taking actions to "reverse" the karma will give our soul more of a peace of mind.
