Had a really interesting conversation with a Pomeranian yesterday. He and his mom were having trouble with his separation anxiety when she went away on trips, even though she tells him how long she’ll be gone. solid_blueThe suggestion (either by him or my spirit guides) was to create little colored cardboard squares and have each one of them represent how many days she’ll be gone, so he knows when to start waiting by the door for her. ie; blue for one day, purple for 5 days, another color for 1 week etc. I thought it was a very inventive idea.

It is also something they can do together: she training him with “this will mean one day, this will mean 5 days,” etc. Then, all she needs to do is hold up a card and say, “I’ll be gone this many days.” solid_purple

I know a lot of people keep saying that dogs – and animals in general — are color blind, but I don’t believe it. They may not process color in the same way, but not only do animals show me color all the time, color has a certain vibration and I think animals respond to that vibration. So when they see or show me color, they either see it or are relating that vibration to me, which I interpret to be the color. Either way, I think it will not only work for him, but probably a lot of my other clients, as well.

Of course, every animal will be different. Today, I spoke with a cat who had a similar problem. When I asked her, thinking I could suggest this color technique, she clearly gave me another image, asking me to show her in sunrises and sunsets of how many days her mom would be gone. orange-sunset

People don’t give animals enough credit with regard to understanding time. They understand, not with clocks, but they understand. Just as our kus (subconscious minds) know to wake us up at a certain time in the morning when we need to be somewhere, without an alarm clock, so do animals understand time on that level. Animals are pure ku. So whatever technique gives an animal that little extra nudge to understand when mom or dad are coming home, that’s the one to go with. Just ask them, use your intuition, and it will become clear as color. ;)
